We are starting with the pharmacy, not the software.

Pharmacies already rely on specialized systems for dispensing, claims, inventory, payments, clinical services, and other functions.

But keeping a pharmacy running also involves recurring responsibilities, staff readiness, equipment, procedures, documentation, operational issues, handoffs, vendor follow-up, and the knowledge people carry about how things get done.

Rx Process is exploring how that operational layer can be easier to see, coordinate, and manage — without unnecessarily replacing systems and routines that already work.

Who we are looking for

We are initially working with independent pharmacy owners, pharmacists-in-charge, pharmacists, technicians, and others who are directly involved in keeping the pharmacy running.

Your pharmacy does not need to have a known problem. Strong existing systems are just as valuable for us to understand as areas of friction.

Different team structures, services, locations, and operating models help us build a more accurate picture of how independent pharmacy actually works.

What participation looks like

Understand

Build a current-state picture of how the pharmacy operates.

01

Observe

Follow selected operational work as it actually happens — including handoffs, tools, documents, reminders, and routines.

02

Reflect

Return a concise Pharmacy Operations Snapshot and validate what we understood.

03

Test

Where the evidence supports it, compare selected Rx Process concepts or prototypes with current practice.

04

What your pharmacy receives

A Pharmacy Operations Snapshot
A concise view of how operational work is currently coordinated, what appears to be working well, and where concentrated knowledge, friction, or visibility gaps may exist.

A structured outside perspective
Not an audit or compliance score — an evidence-based look at the operation.

A voice in early product development
The opportunity to influence what Rx Process builds, changes, or decides not to build.

Early exposure to selected concepts
Where appropriate, participating pharmacies may test early workflows or prototypes.

Future benchmark participation
The opportunity to contribute to aggregate pharmacy-operations research as the program grows.

No Shortcuts

This is research, not an audit or sales demo.

We are not trying to prove that pharmacies are poorly run, that informal tools are automatically inadequate, or that every pharmacy needs Rx Process.

A spreadsheet may work well. A paper checklist may be reliable. An experienced employee may have built an effective routine.

We want to understand what deserves a better system — and what does not.

The standard program consists of four focused working sessions over approximately six to eight weeks. Sessions typically last 30–60 minutes and are scheduled around pharmacy availability.

The research concerns pharmacy operations. Patient-level information is not required and should not be collected.

A working partnership

Founding Pharmacies are not being asked to simply validate an idea.

Your experience helps us understand what deserves to be built, what should remain outside Rx Process, and what would need to be true for a pharmacy operations platform to become genuinely useful in day-to-day work.

The relationship should be earned through usefulness.
